In early 2007 Inca X launched Live Media GPS. By 2008 the software was used at Cowes Week sailing regatta and the SB3 World Championship. In both 2009 and 2010 the US Navy (ONR) trialled the software during two exercises.
Among many exciting prospects for 2010, Microsoft Global Security will be piloting Inca X Geocasting technologies.
Geocasting
Inca X has been at the forefront of developing real world geocasting applications over the past two years. Inca X took the bold step of releazing its software into an unknown market and watched as the first people started broadcasting their skiing trips or sailing regatta. A typical geocasterʼs journey went from broadcasting their boat in the world famous Cowes regatta to covering an entire world championship within the space of six months. To try and explain the possible applications of geocasting would be a pointless exercise as new uses are being found daily by the over 60,000 people whoʼve registered and downloaded the software from incax.com.
